MINI DANCERS (ages 2.5-4 years)
A specially developed program to nurture a child’s inclination toward movement with rhythm and music. The program offers ballet, for body alignment, tap for motor control and tumbling for strength and flexibility, blended in a structured, yet creative environment, geared to young minds and bodies. Our pre-school curriculum includes the use of props and storytelling to enhance their learning experience. The program also encourages socialization, through exercises that build listening skills, cooperation and respect for others.
YOUNG DANCERS (ages 5-7 years)
This program is designed for the students entering their first years of school. This class offers a combination of ballet, tap and tumbling. The ballet portion offers basic technique, including body, arm and feet positions, plus elementary movements and steps combined with spatial awareness and movement design. Tap technique at this level helps students to count music, build upon coordination and recognize rhythm patterns. Tumbling is also offered in this program for body conditioning and muscular development.
PRE-PETITE DANCERS (Ages 6-9 years)
This level is designed to prepare young students for our upper levels and bridge the gap between the Young Dancer Level and the Petite Level. Dancers will have a ballet/jazz and tap/lyrical combo class as well as an optional acrobatics class. Dancers will be introduced to the concept of a more structured class to help begin formal training.
